We will be pleased if you like this article.

It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

We will immediately begin our story about the trip to buy a Christmas tree with a life hack that our friends revealed to us: in Alberta, before Christmas, every resident can fill out a license form on the website and get the opportunity to go to the forest and cut down three Christmas trees up to 2.5 meters high. And if you find out that it is absolutely free, you will understand why Canadian Alberta is a very well-organized provinces. Our journey began with an unusual store in Caroline.

Here are special cylinders that will help drive away bears.

And if these cylinders do not help you, then the store has another department that will definitely solve the issue of protection from bears.

We arrived at the site and the first find was the skeleton of a deer.

I also took a photo nearby to remember this moment.

The organizers of our event set the task of arranging a place for rest and we pushed in a heavy log from the forest.

The fire was organized professionally. Firewood was brought from home.

Our team did not stop throwing wood, fanning the flames more and more.

There was a mini-cafe on the back of the truck, where you could enjoy tasty treats and drink coffee.

Sausages were fried on special skewers.

And this is what a cup of hot coffee in the snow looks like

In addition to delicious hot dogs cooked over a fire with Ukrainian adjika inside, we tasted marshmallows melted over a fire with chocolate cookies.

The expedition members continued to put sausages on skewers.

We are grateful to our friends for such a cool trip.

Relaxing in the beautiful nature of Alberta is what we recommend to each of you.

We were already beginning to think that it was time to go into the forest for Christmas trees, but the fire and sausages kept us going. In this photo we are finishing the sausage and are almost ready to go into the deep forest.

We headed into the forest and our Christmas trees were waiting for us there.

Before entering the thicket of the forest, you need to take a photo.

The weather was warm enough that ice decorations formed on the branches of many spruce trees.

We chose the most beautiful Christmas tree for ourselves and took the sword out of its sheath.

The moment when we sawed the Christmas tree was recorded on video.

This beauty is coming to our home today.

Tired but satisfied lumberjacks took a short break on the way to their camp.

The lumberjack caravan stretched for several hundred meters.

Everyone happily carried their Christmas tree to the car.

To record the changes in everyone that occurred during the walk through the forest, photographs were also taken at the exit.

According to the new tradition of our blog, we are attaching the route of our trip for those who want to repeat it.

The moment came when the trees were loaded onto the cars and it was possible to drive back.

However, not all participants in the expedition wanted to return home. It was appropriate for the rich to simply sit in the snow or lie down.

Nobody wants to leave the forest

We covered the dying fire with snow and it became like the Etna volcano in Sicily.

The fire went out

The hour to return home had arrived and the caravan of cars moved towards Sylvan Lake.

We made a quick stop to take photos near the Clearwater River.

Then we celebrated the bird's game on Sunday.

And the next day, in our apartment there was a dressed-up beauty that we had brought from the forest.

And one of the branches of our Christmas tree seemed to remind us that we live in Red Deer County. ☺️
