It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
Burano Island differs from the rest of the islands of the Venetian lagoon in that it cannot be visited by stowaways on water trams. On this island, unlike others, there are turnstiles on the berths. And if you go to Burano without a ticket, then in order to leave you will have to pay 7 euros for a ticket. But this is not what Burano is famous for. The main goal of tourists is handmade lace, which is woven by local residents.
But the island is remembered not by lace, but by colorful houses. They say that housewives came up with the idea of painting houses in bright colors to make it easier for drunk husbands returning from bars to find their home.
Burano Island is quite small, but it has a very interesting attraction. This is a real leaning tower. Built in the 15th century, it has tilted slightly over the centuries. And this is how it looks now.
