BATUMI
The main resort of Georgia.

It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
So we got to sunny Adjara. Many times, reading publications about the beauty and the pace of development of this region, we reproached ourselves for not having been there yet. And now, thanks to an inexpensive flight to Kutaisi, "caught on the action", we are walking around hospitable Batumi.
First impressions of the subtropical vegetation in the city. There is a riot of greenery everywhere: in parks, on the embankment, on the mountain slopes. And of course, palm trees are the "queens of all resorts"
Batumi's parks are very well-groomed and beautiful. In the center, along the road to the sea, there is a bamboo alley.
But even the natural beauty of Georgia cannot overshadow the memories of the incredible cuisine of this country. For example, Adjarian khachapuri with egg and butter is not just bread and cheese, it is a product of some magical actions of a Georgian chef, multiplied by a thousand years of cooking experience. Wherever we tried this cake before, but real khachapuri
in Adjarian one can really taste only in Adjara itself.
The purchase of local lemonade in the store was planned by us in advance. The rumor that the Georgians took the secret of making delicious lemonade from our childhood to their Georgia was fully confirmed! ;-) I especially remember the duchess, which is in the photo below on the left. And a plate with eggplants, tomatoes and meat (pictured on the right) was added just for appetite ;-)
Most Georgian dishes bear (you won't believe it !!!) Georgian names, but for a wonderful holiday in this country, it is enough to learn just two words: khvanchkara and kinzmarauli ...
Having had a good snack (there is never a loose one), we came to the embankment and put on our shoes :-)
The embankment in Batumi is luxurious: there are sculptures, bike paths, views of the sea and skyscrapers.
We did not dare to swim, because a cold current came and the water temperature was fifteen degrees, but on a large beach pebble we were happy to roll around.
We filmed the atmosphere of the Batumi beach and the pleasant rustle of sea waves.
Near the embankment there is a Ferris Wheel. We of course tried this ride.
But the real height in Batumi we conquered with the help of the cable car, the lower station of which is located next to the port. A comfortable Swiss cabin took us to the upper station for a bird's eye view of the city.
This is how beautiful Batumi is located at the foot of the mountains on the shore of the beautiful sea ...
After a leisurely descent on the cable car, we went to explore the streets and attractions. By the way, some monuments surprised with their openness ;-)
We tried to collect interesting places and sculptures of Batumi in a small gallery.

I was surprised by one of the central districts of the city, adjacent to the embankment. It was a real piece of the Turkish metropolis. Signs in Turkish, restaurants with Turkish cuisine, and everything around with a Turkish flavor. It is felt that the expansion of neighboring Turkey in Georgia is proceeding by leaps and bounds. But if the Georgians were able to carry their authenticity through many centuries, then they will manage now.
By the way, the presence of Ukraine here is also very noticeable. This is the yellow bus "Bogdan", on which we went to Chakvi, and Kiev University, where the son of the owner of our house studied, and five varieties of Ukrainian vodka out of ten possible in a nearby shop. Or, for example, you enter the port, and there you are greeted with the colors of the native flag by the Ukrainian ship "Chernomorets - 9" (in the photo below it is on the left). And passing by the Batumi railway station, you read the name of the cafe "Ukrainochka" and your soul becomes warmer.
And the day, meanwhile, gradually rolled towards sunset. We spent the afternoon in the port of Batumi. In his bustling port life, one could find equipment for every taste.
Here ships hummed and sailboats sailed gracefully, and sometimes even hang-gliders that know how to land on the water arrived.
The most romantic time in Batumi is sunset. We returned to the beach to see the sun off.
Just look at the color of the Batumi sunsets in June.
With the onset of darkness, Batumi is in no hurry to go to bed, but opens up to its guests in a completely new way. The towers are lit with colorful lights, and the fountains begin to dance.
Midnight, center of Batumi. We are waiting for the minibus to Kutaisi to catch the night flight to Kiev.
At the same time, we sincerely enjoy the remaining minutes of our stay here to the bewitching dances of the fountains. Look at this miracle and you ...
