It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

Cancun, Mexican "Mecca" for tourists.
Cancun was the final point of our Mexican journey and is remembered for endless white sand beaches, vibrant nightlife and cheerful Germans :-)

After crossing the strait between the Island of Women and the Mexican mainland by ferry, we ended up in Cancun. He met us inhospitable. The storm from which we fled from the Paradise Island of Women caught up with us in Cancun. Palm trees bent, people hid.

The weather darkened the first day of our stay in the capital of Mexican tourism, but the very next day, as if remembering that the New Year should be not only cold, but also festive - the sun came out into the sky. We saw beautifully decorated palms with colorful coconuts and began our wide-eyed exploration of the city.

Very memorable in Cancun for its vibrant nightlife. The main directions of the party life are dictated by the "Coco Bongo" club (as in the movie "The Mask"), so green-headed characters are a dime a dozen on the evening streets!

Walking in the evening we managed to visit the belly of a shark and make a wish - finding ourselves between two Katrin.

At the hotel where we stayed, no matter who of the vacationers we met - they turned out to be Germans ;-) By the end of the second day, we had a team of 4 pairs: 3 German + 1 Ukrainian. Our new friends turned out to be notable merry fellows and lovers of mischief. :-)

Our hotel was located in the "Hoteler zone" - this is a sandy "spit" in the form of the number seven - if you look at the map. And the city of Cancun itself lies on the mainland. But since sitting in a hotel you don't really learn about the country, every day we made sorties either to the city or to neighboring beaches.

In Cancun itself, you can find bright nature and unusual animals and even an exchange office named after Tolstoy :-) The photos below are clickable.

When we stayed in the hotel in the evening, we always attended the performances of visiting musicians. Most of them were Mexicans who played their native Mariachi music, but we especially liked this groovy Cuban ensemble, where the soloist, in addition to singing and dancing, played along with himself on the grater ;-)
But Cancun would not be This Cancun without its beaches. Therefore, we spent whole days walking along the beautiful white sand, exercising balance with a coconut on our head and photographing the "mojito" against the background of the surf :-)

Cancun's beaches are endless. There are many hotels and beautiful villas along the beaches.

It was in such a beautiful city that our first Mexican journey ended. We looked at people from the other side of the planet and it turned out that they do not go "upside down". We remember Mexico as very interesting, original and someday we will gladly walk barefoot along its white beaches again ...
