It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
Porto seemed to us one of the most interesting cities in Portugal. We are very sorry that we had only one day to familiarize ourselves with it . According to our impressions - Porto is a city for 3-4 days to explore by travelers.

We arrived in Porto very late, but the metro in this city runs until 1:30 am, so we easily got to our hotel to sleep 5 hours and go to explore the beauties and attractions. The hotel had an oriental flavor and, according to the results of the whole trip, received the highest rating from us in terms of price-quality ratio. When we walked through the center of Porto at night, we confirmed for ourselves the description from the guidebooks that the rhythm of life of the Portuguese is very different from ours: at 20-00 they look for a cafe for dinner, at 22-00 they have dinner, at 00-00 they go out into the streets walk and chat, go to bed at 2-00. This is absolutely true - all the central streets were filled with groups of local residents who chatted near the entrances to the cafe.

The first impression of Porto is that it is covered with tiles. This is a Portuguese national treasure. This tile is called "Azulejo". The houses lined with blue "Azulejo" look especially bright. The house on the right was so beautiful that we hung it even in INSTAGRAM

Walking through one of the squares, we saw a group of English-speaking tourists being led to a palace, we settled down behind them and entered the hall of this palace. It turned out that it was just the Porto station :-), but entirely decorated with painted tiles.

The city center can be called vertical, as many streets have a slope of 20, 30, and sometimes 45 degrees. But when you climb to the top - the views open up - incredible !!!

If you want to see something from the creations of the Eiffel, and do not plan to visit Paris, the Luis I Bridge over the Duero River in Porto will be the best option. It is also the Eiffel and also a symbol of the city.

Porto is remembered for its medieval spirit, perhaps this is the city that managed to preserve its historical face better than others.

Finishing our walk through the beautiful city, we wandered around the flea market, bought ourselves a Portuguese coin as a keepsake and just before our flight, even small wine connoisseurs like us, tasted a real 10-year-old port made here in Porto. Pour it in cafes with a norm of 60 grams ;-)
