We will be pleased if you like this article.

It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

This article has little relation  to "Green Tourism", but for me one
of the most important on the site, because I have the opportunity to say thank you to my small homeland,
where I grew up, finished school, and where my beloved Grandmother and Grandfather are buried.
Pervomaisky, Ukraine
For several years in a row, I have been coming with my family to this small town exactly
May 1 (The name of the city is translated as the city of May 1st). Why? I do not know. But I think that if the town was called "Seventeen September", then it would be logical to visit it on the day of September 17th. Before entering Pervomaisky there are several attractions. The first of them is "Zhuravlik". This art object stands near the lake of the same name. It is a little further behind him. My grandfather took me here to swim. In the evenings, sitting with friends in the courtyard, we told each other a terrible legend about the "double bottom" of this lake, which can tighten one of the swimmers with a funnel ...
Crane near Pervomaisky
Previously, "Crane" did not have a nest in the back and its balance was supported by an iron pipe that went from the ground straight to its beak. In those days, all young families after the registry office went to the "Zhuravlik" so that the witness climbed the pipe, as close to the beak as possible and tied a commemorative ribbon as high as possible. We were no exception, and on June 24, 1995, our ribbon was tied to the highest, practically tying the "Crane" beak ... Since then, the design has undergone changes, the pipe from the beak was cut off, a nest appeared, and the ribbons are now visible on the legs of "Crane" ". This means that the main goal of the witnesses at the wedding has changed a little ;-) Close to the entrance, we saw a monument erected to the Ukrainians who died abroad. The street where my school number 6 was located was named after one of them - Valery Kondratyev, who died in Afghanistan. This happened during my studies there.

If you had entered Pervomaiskiyi a few years ago, Lenin was the first person to meet you. It was perhaps the most recognizable art object in the city. (When the article was being written, Lenin was still there :-)
Lenin on the roof
It used to be like the Eiffel Tower in Paris (may Pervomayskyi not be offended for the comparison) - and is visible from most parts of the city. Communist symbol of the past in graphic style
Art Deco.
 Lenin made of iron
Note, he was tied with straps, like Gulliver with midgets on the bank. In the early 90s, someone cut out his eyes and Lenin was "blind" for several years. Then the eyes were restored, but did it improve the life of the May Day people? Not sure. Not far from Lenin stands
DK - Palace of Culture - incredible long-term construction
80s, which then frightened all residents with a brutal look of unfinished structures, and attracted children to climb in their
hallways after school.
 Palace of Culture "Chemist"
When it was built to the end, it really became the center of the cultural life of Pervomaisky. To confirm this, we can say the following: the authors of this blog passed student practice in it and defended their director's thesis on the topic: "Organization of the May Day holiday in May Day, May 1, 1997." Our teachers appreciated the creativity of the work and bellowed from the very name. Apparently in honor of that great event - on May 1, 2015, fountains delighted our eyes there.
Fountain near the Palace of Culture
There is no longer anything there that can be noted as an architectural masterpiece. Even a new community center - if you look closely, from a distance is somewhat similar to the same Palace of Culture.
 New community center
The house of my grandmother and grandfather
Further - only touching nostalgia: the 3rd microdistrict, house number 7 - the house of my Grandmother and Grandfather:
And here I am in this house, which is so dear to me. Grandma bakes pancakes, and I make funny noises, slapping my cheek with my hand. And next to (by the way) a Chinese thermos.
Little me
Here is the courtyard behind the house where my friends and I spent our time playing games.
 The yard behind our house
And the main entertainment available to the young residents of Pervomaisky is "Raskoryachka". This is a ravine landing that had to be reached through the field. Now it looks like this:
The forest called "Raskoryachka"
As a child, I was near "Raskoryachka"
And once, it was so distant and unattainable, because my parents would not let me in.
And then, when they started up, we found at the very beginning of "Raskoryachka" an iron square pin, driven into the ground with the inscription "GUGK". Many legends have been invented about him. The most famous, about the border dog "GUGK", which at the cost of his life saved the owner. True, later from the contour maps we learned that "GUGK" (the hand automatically picks up GOOGLE ;-) is the Main Directorate of Geodesy and Cartography. Why this "GUGK" was marked on the ground at the beginning of "Raskoryachka" I still do not know. But this did not prevent us from going there with our guys from the yard to play Indians, Robingoods and war games.
Me and my childhood friends
Dance Ensemble "Dios"
Then there was a lot of things: first love, first favorite music and even the dance group "Dios".
But most importantly, Pervomaysky is forever my small homeland, which I tenderly and carefully keep in my heart. And on my calendar for next year, it's a must-see in May.
Bus station Pervomaisky
PS Even a few years ago, seeing that my Pervomaysky is not developing as dynamically as I would like, I was sad. But now, seeing the work of the new team in the city, I am optimistic.
In general, for me the main "marker" of the fact that the Ukrainian reforms have been carried out will be the quality of the Kharkiv-Pervomaisky road. I really want to bring my grandchildren along the smooth, well-groomed road to a successful and prosperous town.
