Old city with bridges like in Kiev

We will be pleased if you like this article.
It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
Let's start our story about the ancient city from the main impression - from the bridges of Riga. These bridges across the Daugava made us feel at home. As soon as you get a little bored of Ukraine and Kiev, then go to the bank of the Daugava and look at the bridges.
Here you can see both the "railway bridge" and the "Paton bridge".
And if you look from the right bank, the brother of the "South Bridge" will be on the extreme right, just like in Kiev.
The main places of the old city are the Town Hall Square, where the statue of Roland stands and the Church of St. Peter, whose spire is visible from everywhere. In order not to overload the report with a lot of photographs of ancient buildings, we post a selection of photographs here at once. And more, you can see something in our INSTAGRAM
To experience deja vu - there is Jauniela street in the old town. You have all been to it more than once. Only it was called differently. Now Baker Street, then Flower Street.
There is a very sad house on the same street. This sadness is associated with a flower in a pot. If Pleischner (from the movie "17 Moments of Spring") had not forgotten about this flower, he probably would have remained alive. Fortunately, there was no flower at the time of our arrival, which means that the attendance was not lost.
Also, in Riga we managed to look at the building of the Latvian Seim - a statue of the national hero Lachplesis, who breaks the mouth of a bear. And we took pictures near the Independence Monument.
The musical life of Riga pleased me. Here and Mariah Carey and beloved "A-ha" and, unexpectedly - Ukrainian "Ne Angeli".
We saw a lot of stuff in Riga. And you can look through some of this on this page.
