It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

The island of Torcello left us with the most unforgettable impressions ... When we went to Torcello, we were the only passengers on the ship. It so happened that we are lucky on such flights. We sailed ourselves to the island of Torcello, cruised without other passengers on a ship to Goa , went alone in a carriage to Verona ...
Having landed on the island, we were surprised by the complete absence of people. We expected to see the "babbling" river of tourists - such as on the islands of Murano and Burano. But everything went completely differently:
There was no one on the famous tourist island. We got to the bridge. The first stone bridge in the entire Venetian lagoon was built on Torcello and is called the "Devil's Bridge". Here he is in the photo:

We have never met anyone on the island. So we named the island's microfilm series Mystical Torcello, because we really felt uncomfortable there.
We walked on and on, it was getting dark on the street, but the soul was full of motors ... In contrast to the first bridge, the second one is named "St. Mary". Next to it is the hotel-restaurant "Locanda Cipriani". It is famous all over the world: Princess Diana and even Elizabeth II have been here.

Here Hemingway wrote one of his books.

This restaurant has a "brother" in Venice itself, it bears the name "Harry's Bar" - very expensive, and at the same time, it almost never has empty seats. They are related by a common once owner - Giuseppe Cipriani, who became famous all over the world, having invented "Carpaccio" and cocktail "Bellini". Lokanda is now ruled by Tinto Brass's nephew. Who is Tinto Brass, every teenager from the 90s knows, even though he sometimes visited video halls ...
There is an open-air museum not far from Locanda. The most famous exhibit is the throne of Attila. I don't know how authentic it is, but the absence of other tourists allowed us to try it.

Between the open-air museum and Locanda live cats, it is believed that these are one of the most famous cats in the world among tourists.
Walking through the evening Torcello, we came across vineyards, which contained statues worthy of any thriller or horror movie. Imagine our feelings: dark, deserted, frightening statues, and next to them we are lonely and defenseless tourists from Ukraine. Look at them:
On Torcello there is a basilica built in 639, near which you can feel the real history, not far from the basilica, there is a monument to Pope John Paul 1.

You can watch the evening panorama of the mystical Torcello on video here, feeling its mysterious atmosphere:
The return to the dock was quick and eerie.
Hearing the roar of the ship's engine, we experienced a wide variety of emotions. And the joy of the appearance of a living person and the bright sadness of parting with such an unusual and mysterious place.
