It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
We arrived in the city of Verona by high speed train.
Verona station was remembered for authentic McDonald's: not a single hamburger or cheeseburger known to us, but only McPasta, McPizza and McLasagna. We did not try these Italian fast food products and passed by. Leaving the station building, we decided to walk and went to the left, after a huge group of students, believing that they were probably going to the nearest sights. But they went to their university, when all the students began to enter the university building, leaving us alone in the middle of the street, we began to guess that there was some kind of catch :-) After that, looking at the map, we realized that we were going in the other direction from the sights , to the residential areas of Verona. But studying the life of local residents always attracts us, so we boldly moved along the beautiful streets in search of local cafes to drink good Italian coffee.
Going into one of the cafes that had just opened, we were confronted with a misunderstanding. The waitress did not understand what a coffee Americano was. An attempt to explain to her what it is, led to the fact that the waitress brought us a cup of strong coffee and a kettle of boiling water. The expression on her face said: "Here's boiling water for you, make as much coffee as you want!" :-) After our morning coffee, we moved to the avenues of Verona:

We returned to the station and now we went right.

Remember, when leaving the station, the direction to all attractions is RIGHT!

The closest attraction is Juliet's grave.

Juliet's crypt (in which she was allegedly buried) is located on the territory of the Museum of Art. And if you are not a connoisseur of art, but simply came to see Juliet, you have to buy a ticket. After going through the entire exposition, you find yourself in a small courtyard with a staircase to the basement crypt. What's inside you can see in this video.
This museum borders on Montague Street, we went to this street, sat on a bench in the yard, but found no traces of Romeo - an ordinary residential street. The next point on our way was Juliet's courtyard with the famous balcony.

If you are a connoisseur of romantic melodramas and have watched the 2010 film Letters to Juliet , then you know that in the arch of this courtyard on the walls all tourists stick their love notes. So do not believe this, the notes with which the arch was pasted so polluted the street that the city authorities forbade gluing anything on the walls of the arch and made large panels there on which you can write your texts. In the early morning, the cleaners wash away the notes of yesterday, but they will be kept forever in the photographs of tourists ;-)

For those who are not only romantic, but also a "soulless animal", there is a line in the courtyard of those who want to be photographed with Juliet herself. It's not as romantic as writing love notes on the walls, but it's a very memorable act.

The street where Juliet lived leads directly to the "Place des Graves" - the main square of Verona. This is the heart of the city.

The square looks like it came out of a medieval fairy tale. Very nice and pleasant to walk. Many artists work in the square and the surrounding streets. We filmed one of them because it's funny and if you listen, you can hear the words in Russian.
From the "Place of Herbs" we went to the Arena - the Verona Colosseum. It is not as famous as the Roman one, but it also greatly impresses tourists. And besides this, an annual festival of opera art is held here, because the acoustics are excellent.

When we went inside and looked around for a bit, I climbed into the box of the patricians and spoke to the plebeians with a bright and inspiring speech. They listened to me with great attention. :-)

At the same time, they continued to assemble the stage platform for the opera festival, which was to take place in a few days. After a lot of photos in the Arena, we decided to have a snack. It turned out to be very expensive to have a slice of pizza near the Arena, but we considered it necessary to do it :-)

We were very tired that day, but on the way to the station, we visited the Castelvecchio fortress. The place is beautiful, chivalrous and recommended to visit.
