Music is a kind of "anchor" that allows you to return to this or that moment of life: under one music you hugged a girl for the first time, under another - for the first time you thought about the meaning of life, under the third - you dreamed of the future. It so happened that the melodies and rhythms of "Depeche mode" were able to penetrate into the subconsciousness of millions of people and left their unforgettable impressions there. Therefore, when in October 2016 in Milan the musicians announced a new tour of the group - we were very inspired - seeing Kiev on the map of concerts. And now, the tickets have been bought, the date of the performance is approaching, and two days before the concert, all of Ukraine freezes listening to such news from Minsk, where the event was supposed to take place on July 17:

But we must pay tribute to the ticket seller www.concert.ua , who promptly informed about the prospects of the concert, thanks to this, our friend, who doubted whether he would go to the Kiev concert from Kharkov, ended up standing shoulder to shoulder in the queue of wonderful people going to watch "Depechei ". And even, I almost got "under the skating rink" of television journalists who were interviewing those standing.
And there was a long queue for the concert. I had to go through several cordons to reach my fanzone at the Olympic. Many news channels later said that the organizers collapsed and did not allow spectators to attend the concert. We, having watched the story about people who told that they were not allowed to listen to their favorite group, were surprised that these "news heroes" called the cost of their tickets at 290 hryvnia. We, cheaper than 890 hryvnia on the sites have not met, so it is likely that these tickets could be fake. One of the confirmations of the existence of "strange" tickets was a man who stood in line behind us - he showed us an A4 sheet from some Kiev snack bar, where it was written that this bar "gives him a ticket to" as a wonderful client. Depeche mode "! At the same time, there were no photos of the group on the ticket sheet, nor a link to why the snack bar could distribute such tickets to customers ...

Having overcome all the turnstiles, we entered the "Platinum Fanzone". There was no limit to my joy ;-)
The opening act for "Depeche mode" was played by a girl who (I quote from the site) is a composer, singer, cool DJ - Maya Jane Coles. She was remembered for a large tattoo on her chest.
From good memories of the "warm-up" - she came out 15 minutes earlier than the planned time and played forty-five minutes instead of thirty. The performance was accompanied by "drug addict cartoons", although they may not be drug addicts, but weird ...
The DJ girl left, and her music (or very similar) continued to sound in the speakers. The whole stadium waited and waited! Andy, Martin and Dave appeared on the stage. For greater recognition, I will circle them:
Well, then the stadium was simply "torn to shreds"! I realized that I was attending one of the coolest shows that can be seen in the world today.

According to the old tradition of the group, Martin Gore performs several romantic ballads at the concert. Some music critic wrote that such romantic inserts from Gore break the general energy of the concert. Don't listen to such commentators. The songs that Martin sang - the whole stadium sang with him.
I consider the completion of the main part of the concert with the song "Never Let Me Down Again" as one of the greatest directorial successes of the program. Firstly, this is one of my favorite songs, and secondly, the energy in the hall has reached its climax. It was just incredible! See for yourself:
After a short pause, there was an encore and five more unforgettable hits from "Depeche Mods". For comparison: "Nightwish", which performed in Kiev a year ago, did not come out for an encore at all. For about fifteen minutes, the "Ukraine" palace then chanted a request to play at least one more song - but, as the saying goes: "a good attempt, but no." I think this is what distinguishes the "old people" who value their listeners from the self-confident "youth".
And the final chord of the Depeche Mod concert was "Personal Jesus":
Tens of thousands of spectators dispersed to their homes and only hard workers, trucks, waited for the equipment of the "Depeche mod" group to be loaded into them and they would take it further around the world ...
