It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

Quite unexpectedly, we had the opportunity to discover the beauty of the Kherson region. In our FB-group "Green Tourism in Ukraine" we saw an ad and quickly decided to go. Moreover, in the Kherson region we were only passing by train or car, and there was no way to see the region more closely. The Kiev-Kherson train arrived in the world capital of watermelons at 4-30 am, we did not get enough sleep and agreed that the city was named correctly ;-) Then 1.5 hours by minibus from the Kherson station and we were in Skadovsk, where a boat was waiting for us to the island Dzharylgach, which in Crimean Tatar means "split, cracked"
 Boat sailing to Dzharylgach
When we boarded the boat, a woman moderator of the boats asked a young couple who had just arrived on this boat from the lighthouses: "Well, now, are you happy?" "We are very happy now" - said the girl and quickly walked with her boyfriend in the direction of fixed-route taxis. Hearing this, we were in great anticipation, because in a few minutes we will be where they were. We did not hear the sign that was given to us ... In the direction of the boat, there was the first station "Glubokaya", there are reed houses, a shop, a bar and toilets. But we knew that such a "civilization" is for weaklings, and we went to the "lighthouses" where there is nothing of the kind. We disembarked from the boat (140 UAH / person) and began to look for a place for our camp. The first impression can be described by the words of Harry and Lloyd from the movie "Dumb, Dumber", when instead of mountains, they mistakenly drove onto the plain: "I thought rocky mountains should be a little rockier ..." - in our case: Me it seemed that the uninhabited island should be a little more uninhabited. There were many vacationers, and the architecture of the buildings near the lighthouses reflected some despair :-)

Now about the main attraction of the island - the Eiffel lighthouse. A large number of sources say that it was this engineer who designed this tower. This means that the island of Dzharylgach is "twinned with the city of Paris", where there is also the Eiffel tower. Moreover, unlike the French, who "rip three skins off the workers" for visiting this tower, we, Ukrainians, are people of a wide soul and do not charge a penny for entering the Eiffel Tower. More precisely, we do not let anyone go there, or more precisely; "The door! Welded" (c)
In the meantime, there is no need to know about it. ”
The Eiffel lighthouse looks very brutal. A dark, rusted spire against a light sky. In some places, the upper platform rusted so badly that it was scary to come close - it would suddenly collapse. After all, we, Ukrainians, know how to preserve sights in their original form. We are against any retouching and restoration, because this will violate the historical truth of the architectural exhibit ... :-)

Shooting a video on the island
When we were near the Eiffel lighthouse, we saw, on the ruins of one of the buildings, some girl group was filming a video clip. After looking at the photo on the computer, I realized that I was mistaken - it was a female group ...
Well enough jokes and grumbling, look how beautiful the island of Dzharylgach is.
The lunar path from the full moon was especially memorable. It is a pity that it was not possible to photograph her well. Thanks to the light from the satellite of the earth, the night on Dzharylgach could be called white. Photos below are clickable

After the beauty - a little truth. We planned to be on the island for 2 nights, but it so happened that we returned after the first one. (We spent the second day in Skadovsk - but more about that in the report about Skadovsk). I have not seen such a number of mosquitoes since 86, when I was fishing with my father at night on an island in the middle of the Kama River. Mosquitoes on Dzharylgach are unreal mutants. They fly at 40 degrees Celsius and sting-sting. In the afternoon, we ran into the water from them. In the evening from 7 pm to 10 pm we sprinkled all stocks of anti-mosquito liquid under jokes, burned all stocks of anti-mosquito smoking sticks, and after 22 the mosquito hell began ... They attacked in thousands, it was only possible to hide in a tent, after having killed those who could fly together with you. But the worst thing that can be imagined is to leave the tent in the bushes out of need ... But the good predecessors warned us, and during the day we also did not pay attention to these signs ...
In the morning, Natasha and I announced the sad news that we are leaving this beautiful mosquito island today. We were joined by two, then two more, and gradually all twelve (of Ocean's friends) began to assemble their tents.
The ship that took us from the island
The motor ship leaves the island at 16:00, but if you think that you will get on it simply by paying 70 hryvnia (its cost), then you are an incorrigible optimist. Only those who arrived on it this morning are taken on board. If you did not arrive today or by boat - you are a pathetic nonentity who should let all passengers with morning tickets and an incredible number of "blatniks" pass through. By the way, a spoiler - passwords work at the entrance: "I am from Uncle Grisha", "I am from Natasha" and "Burned out". In this case, you are allowed in free of charge and without a ticket. With 104 passengers with morning tickets, the number of free tickets was 58 ... In the end, we were lucky and the captain condescended and allowed us to load their bodies onto the ship for 70 hryvnias, but besides us there were several other people who were "disenfranchised" One of these tourists, who was also not allowed on board for a long time, was very angry with this attitude towards herself and called the police, customs and some kind of maritime surveillance, saying that the ship carries a lot of free items and does not want to charge passengers for money. Upon arrival, at the pier we were met by the police and all other services. I still do not understand why, with such a high demand, it is impossible to make 2-3-4 ship trips and make money on tourists. But seriously, after such an attitude towards oneself, not a single normal tourist dares to try the ship service from the city of Skadovsk again ...
Having escaped from the mosquitoes of Dzharylgach Island, I understood the meaning of the words I heard at the very beginning of the trip: "Well, now, are you happy?" "We are very happy now"
 Our team visited Dzharylgach
Well, and the final photo of our entire team. Don't be confused by the barbed wire above the fence - it is just a small symbol of the Soviet service that sometimes meets tourists in Skadovsk ...
