In September, when the day of the autumnal equinox comes, the Gediminas festival is held in Lithuania.
A special feature of this holiday is the worship of fire. We are interested in this event

When dusk began to approach, many schoolchildren appeared on the slopes of the river banks with leaves in their hands. On these sheets of paper were drawn patterns that the guys laid out on both banks. At the same time, as usual, there were much fewer workers than spectators. ;-)
Those of the schoolchildren who did not lay out patterns lit fires and cooked food in large cauldrons.
Darkness fell and the banks of the Neris River lit up with patterned lights.
On one of the banks, a powerful acoustic system was installed, where sad folk songs were turned on. The sensations were mystical: fire and a mournful sad song, sounding over the river. Suddenly, fiery acrobats appeared, performing tricks with fire.
We watched the beginning of the holiday from the bridge, and then decided to go down and see the device of the fire patterns.
The burning lights turned out to be candles, only several times larger than ordinary ones. Each candle container was about the size of a half-liter saucepan ...
Then the lights came on right in the river and we saw a motorcade of boats with lights burning on them.
But it started raining heavily and he put out all the lights in the river, breaking the mystery of the event.
But the rain did not spoil our experience at all. Look at the video, how magical
