VIENNA

The most imperial city we've seen
 Vienna, Austria

We will be pleased if you like this article.

It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

What you can feel in 5 hours in Vienna.
For all lovers of geography, this will not be unexpected news, but we consider it necessary to point out: the capital of Austria, Vienna, is located 60 kilometers from the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Therefore, we could not miss the opportunity to discover a new country, especially one like Austria. And so, on an early winter morning, we are sitting on the Bratislava - Vienna bus. The capital of Austria was very surprised. The suburbs of Vienna were incredibly reminiscent of Nataly's native Mariupol. To be honest, we even began to doubt whether the bus was taking us there? Such a picture accompanied us about 20 minutes before entering the city. But now we are sure that the industry in Austria is very developed.

But the real Vienna ;-) did not disappoint. This city, in our personal opinion, easily wins Paris in the competition for "Imperialism", and if we take a longer walk, it will win Greece in the competition for classical architecture. That only is the Palace of Justice, near which this photo was taken.

The first significant attraction that can be reached from the bus and train station is the Belvedere Palace. We walked around this summer residence of the emperors and can safely recommend it for a visit.

In the park of this residence of the Prince of Savoy, you can see a labyrinth of bushes and many statues of sphinx women, and around the pool there are the heads of 12 animals from the Eastern calendar. Here is the head of this year's Rooster.

After the Belvedere, we went to the Vienna City Hall, where a festive fair with a very large ice rink on which there are many tracks for skiers takes place all winter. There is also a lot of entertainment for children, well, and large rows of sellers of sausages with mulled wine. By the way, we counted 5 types of mulled wine there. There was blackberry and raspberry and some others. And also, I met Umka there. And he told me that: " Your neighbors are sleeping ... ". Although, how the bear cub knows about the affairs of my neighbors is completely incomprehensible.

If we had not bought sausages at the festive fair in Vienna, how could we have passed for normal people? But sausages, small sausages, ribs fried on the fire, fish smoked right in front of your eyes - all this is a very short list of goodies that we saw. And there were also vegetables on fire, pickled vegetables, 20 types of bread ...
And here's a life hack for you: you can return the mulled wine mug back to the seller and get 1 euro back !!! Or you can keep this mug for yourself as a souvenir!

Monuments of the Austrian capital deserve separate comments. And if the young man, crossing his arms, humbly endured the duty pigeon on his head, then the hangout in the next photo made you think about the leisure of the Austrian emperors ...

Then there will be a "cutting" of emotional shots from Vienna. The photos below are clickable.

We were stunned by the fact that we met on one of the squares in Vienna! It remained unknown why the Austrians decided to erect a monument to Poroshenko, but such an image in the imperial chariot drawn by lions seemed too pretentious to us. We could have limited ourselves to jaguars ;-)

Anyway, many people think about animals in Vienna. These are "vegan guerrillas" who do not eat meat themselves and want to wean others by pasting road signs at night; and normal animal owners who use disposable bags so that their pets do not pollute the city.

But this is not so surprising as to see the gilded coat of arms of the Soviet Union in the middle of Vienna. We haven't seen it in a simple version for a long time, but here ...

Also on the streets of Vienna you can find many funny moments: "The Rolling Stones tongue" in patriotic Ukrainian colors, and the massage salon "Golden Finger".

But the most important thing that "beckons" to return to Vienna is a sign that the city is waiting for me to visit again.
Few cities in the world hung my initials along the path of our walks, and Vienna did its best. And this means that we will definitely return to Vienna again.
