It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
We continue to explore the island of Sal, which belongs to the state with the alluring name of Cape Verde, which we know as the "Cape Verde Islands". This island is the most tourist of all in the country, but not at all the greenest ;-) In this report we will tell you about a place that the inhabitants of the island of Sal are very proud of. The name of this unusual attraction is Buracona Lagoon. In the photo below: the road on Cape GREEN !!!
It so happened that in everyday life I never wear sunglasses. But this time, sitting in an open car, I realized that the level of dust raised by the wheels from this "track" surpasses any of the most terrible forecasts, so I took one of Natasha's glasses from Natasha, put them on and drove, not paying attention to the loss of photogenicity; -)
I am a little worried that you will think of Cape Verde as a country where there are no green spaces. This is absolutely not true! To prove this, I post a photo of two trees that we met on the way to the lagoon. And the tourist traffic is really good there: the buses go one by one. Look at the pictures for yourself.
A large shopping center has been built near the lagoon selling oils and goods from local craftsmen.
Oils and creams, caps and T-shirts, as well as voodoo dolls - you will find all this in this place.
Coming out of the "shopping complex" souvenirs do not end, but perhaps only begin ;-)
Whether you buy souvenirs or not, I don't care, the main thing is that you get to the "Blue Eye" on the wooden flooring. This attraction near Burakona is little known, but beautiful. "Blue Eye" is a hole in the rocks, where deep underground there is an outlet to the ocean. Exactly at noon, the sun's rays fall in such a way that, reflecting from the bottom in blue light, they create the impression that a huge blue eye is looking at you.
I will keep the intrigue a little more in order to post my selfie against the background of tourists taking pictures of the Blue Eye in the Buracona lagoon.
Now look how beautiful this place looks. The sunbeam is gradually gaining strength ...
And the climax comes. Exactly at noon, maximum sunlight, under a huge rock breaks through the water column and pleases with its reflection a huge queue of tourists ;-)
This is what Blue Eye looks like in its maximum phase.
Instead of a thousand words ... Just see what the Buracona lagoon looks like. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the first part boils and rages, and the second is very calm and allows you to swim without any fear.
There is a park next to the lagoon, where you can see all the islands of Cape Verde, depicted by light stones on dark volcanic basalt.
This installation is called "The Garden of the Islands" and there, on special stands, you will see all the varieties of soils and stones that exist on the Cape Verde Islands.
The island of Sal in this garden is highlighted separately. It completely recreates the entire relief of the island.
The authors have detailed on the map of the island even the windmills and the basalt shores of Sala. The amount of greenery on the island is also very accurate (in our opinion ;-)
If after visiting all the attractions you have free time, then pay attention to a special place with sun loungers. For some reason, during the entire visit to the lagoon, we did not see a single one lying there. And how else to please these tourists? ;-)
When you are going to visit the Buracona lagoon, you must be thoroughly prepared for this trip, so we present you with the entire list of restrictions that must be observed here ;-)
