It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)

After the arrival of Ryanair in Ukraine, the number of travelers from our country to the German city of Memmingen will steadily grow, since the airport of this city is actively used for transfers by such famous low-cost airlines as Wizzair and Ryanair. And this means that the time has come to tell about the sights of the old Bavarian town seen. First impression: Memmingen is a "very northern city", because at the end of April he met us with a temperature of 5-7 degrees Celsius and large snowdrifts lying on the streets everywhere.
Snow at the end of April. Memmingen, Germany
The classic house of a German burgher in Memmingen looks something like this: a pyramidal structure rises among the bushes and trees, a river-stream flows nearby, and ducks stroll imposingly near the thrown bridge :-)
Classical German architecture
The inhabitants of the city are very frost-resistant, because even in such cold weather they turn on the cooling system using sprayed water droplets. We saw this in hot cities, but that in such cold weather the parents let the child cool off under the splashes of water - we saw it for the first time ;-)

The railway station and the bus station are located next to each other for convenience. In the photo on the left you can see the sheds under which the buses are parked. As a life hack: the red and black station building near the platform is a very useful place for a traveler. If you go into it, then in the waiting room you can register in the Wi-Fi network and get 30 minutes of Internet for free. And the toilet in this building is also free.

Plants on the streets of Memmingen
Despite the cold April weather, the city streets were full of greenery. Many houses were entwined with ivy, and all kinds of plants were placed in tubs near the cafes.
Some courtyards of local residents attracted attention with their creativity. We would have thrown away this stuff long ago, but a thrifty German neatly hung this old thing on a post in the yard ;-)
 Creative german patio
According to our observations, the residents of Memmingen are very shy and do not show tender feelings for each other on the central streets. For this, they have special cul-de-sac ;-)
And again, a girl is unlikely to confuse her boyfriend with her refusal if she is already at a dead end with him :-)

In this selection of photographs, what caught our attention in Memmingen. The photos below are clickable:
High bavarian towers
Drifts right at the airport
Solar panels are everywhere!
Authentic hatches
Aliens exist!
Just a fountain
Snowdrop Dandelions
What the sculpture does is not clear
The river inside the fortress wall
And here is the street that we liked so much that we sat on a bench there and ate our first real German sausages under a pleasant "pastoral" landscape :-)

 We feed the German duck
And after the meal we fed the rest of our buns to this self-confident beauty, who was not afraid to turn to us with a request in the form of "quack-quack". But to tell the truth, she said "Quack-quack" because that's what German ducks say.
We accidentally stumbled upon the gate through which in 1489 Maximilian I (Holy Roman Emperor) entered Memmingen. At that moment he was still just the king of Germany.
In the figure, Maximilian is depicted sitting on a horse on top of which a carpet is laid.
Now, if in any old soviet car you see seat covers with carpet patterns, then you should know that the owner observes old imperial traditions ;-)
 The famous gate of Memmingen
The small Bavarian town of Memmingen, thanks to the former military airport of the Bundeswehr, which was reoriented for passenger traffic, unexpectedly for itself turned into a popular hub for travelers, but at the same time retained its pleasant patriarchal provinciality. True, the prices for accommodation rips off the sky-high from tourists (the typical price for a room is from 100 euros. For promotions, it may be slightly lower). This means you won't stay in it for a long time ;-) Therefore, catch a few more photos of this town. The photos below are clickable:
