If you have ever traveled along the Kharkiv - Kiev highway, then near the town of Lubny you saw a turn to the Mgarsky Monastery. If there was no time and opportunity to wrap up and see, then you are here. The place is so ancient that it is worthy not only of attention, but also of respect. The monastery is almost 400 years old.
Ancient monastic cells have been preserved here. It is hard to imagine that so many years ago monks lived here and prayed for our country.
The red bricks showing through the plaster are 17th century witnesses. The courtyards of the monastery are very well-groomed and prepared for walking and relaxing visitors. The flowering of the monastery gardens did not leave
indifferent to none of us.
The poultry house, which the monks organized here, was created to resemble the heavenly tabernacle. The birds are large, the birds are small, and everything is pleasing to the eye.
One of the birds I respect, came to the very edge of the cage and allowed herself to be photographed up close, although then she tried to peck me :-)
Passing the poultry house, you find yourself on the alley leading to the main temple of the monastery. It was built in 1692 and rebuilt in 2005.
Nearby there is a bell tower, from which euphonic ringing that meets us at the entrance to the monastery.
On the main gallery from the entrance there is an icon shop and a shop for monastic goods: bread, honey, wine, dairy products. To the right of the exit is a skete for pilgrims. In this photo he can be seen in the distance:
The views around the monastery are captivating with their naturalness. There is a cross with a bell and forests ...
But we recognized this very economical stork as the main owner of the monastery. He was constantly busy with his nest located on the pipe and looked very important.
