It costs you nothing, but a good deed is done :-)
Our capital this year is 1535 years old - a wonderful anniversary! And we knew exactly how we were planning to spend this day, because for a long time we were going to take part in the "Megamarsh vyshyvanka". We were sure that this holiday will delight us with vivid impressions, because in addition to beautiful clothes and a walk around Kiev, an ethno-festival on Trukhanov Island was attached to it, and such festivals are always our great pleasure :-) And, here we are smart and positive already set up near the "Golden Gate". It is there that the start is planned and all the participants of the event gather.

From an impromptu stage near Yaroslav the Wise, the organizers of the Megamarsh said their opening words, which all participants listened very carefully ...

And the moment came when the multicolored sea of embroidered shirts went for a walk in the spring capital.

On one of the streets there was an inscription that corresponded to the holiday taking place in Kiev.

We went to the pedestrian Khreshchatyk that day, took pictures and went to the "Ukrainian House", and there was a big ice cream festival with mirror artists.

The large number of journalists, cameramen and photographers was a little surprising. Impromptu photo shoots and interviews took place here and there.

Kiev citylights delighted those passing by with a reminder of the imminent offensive on June 11 and recommended to prepare a biometric passport. And near the "Friendship of Nations" arch, a large number of firefighters and medical vehicles were "guarding the safety of the people of Kiev."

Our column went down to the Dnieper and especially the smallest, but at the same time white and fluffy participants of the Megamar, were happy about this ;-)

On the embankment, we met a patriotic mural, but a commentator unknown to me who wrote that the Cossack on the right was called Vitalik was wrong. My opinion is absolutely not similar! ;-)

Our further journey lay to Trukhanov Island along a pedestrian bridge. And the views from this bridge are incredible. Having reached the middle of the Dnieper, we were very proud that we could become cooler than the "rare birds" from the work of Gogol :-)

Crossing the Dnieper, we witnessed the work of the new river police. We had previously heard that such a unit appeared in Kiev, but we saw it for the first time. For what the police stopped this water biker, we did not understand, perhaps "excess", and maybe even "double solid" ... It doesn't look like checking for a first-aid kit on board ;-)

All sorts of entertainment and beauty awaited us on Trukhanov Island. Here you could take part in weaving a straw horse, play the harp and paint someone's face ;-)

We went to listen to the artists at a small stage not far from the Dnieper bank. It was very comfortable sitting on the sheaves to listen to the performances.

And not far from us, a young Cossack was honing his skills of the "Battle Hopak".

Under the warm atmosphere of sunny Trukhanov Island, we were pleased to take several selfie photos in memory of a wonderful day. Megamarsh vyshyvanka - recommended for visiting!
